Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to 3rd and 4th grade! I look forward to being a part of your child’s Christian

education at Madison Baptist Academy. I pray that your child will grow not only in

knowledge and skills, but also in their love for the Lord.

To tell a little about myself…I accepted Jesus as my Savior in 2001 while attending

church with my grandparents in Lawrenceburg, TN. I attended Middle Tennessee State

University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I

taught at Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro, TN for several years before our

family moved to Alabama in 2022. My husband Jason and I have been married for 22

years. We have been blessed with three children, Faith, Kennedy, and Eli. Faith

graduated from West Coast Baptist College and was married last year to Travis, and they

currently live in Kansas where he serves as the youth pastor at his father’s church.

Kennedy recently graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College and serves here at

M.B.C. Eli will be going into the 9th grade here at M.B.A. this year.

Please note that your child will have a folder sent home every Friday with graded

papers from the week, and a test/quiz schedule for the upcoming week so that you will have

an idea of what your child will need to study. Each week the signature sheet is to be signed

by a parent to confirm that all the information inside the folder has been checked and

read. Please return any papers that are placed in the left-hand side of the folder, under the

signature sheet.

Each student will have a 3-ring binder where they will keep their agenda to write down

homework, and a separate folder to hold tests/quizzes to be signed and returned the next

day. Students will also have a desk folder for penmanship that is not complete, daily work,

incomplete math pages, and extra paper.

I look forward to what the Lord has in store as your child grows academically and

spiritually this year!
